How to Use Xverify to Validate Data in Real Time: 5 Steps



Validating data users submit through your webform has become simplified with Xverify. Learn how you can the Javascript to work with your existing web form to get quality data.



Steps


1. After you have your established account and received your login credentials.Log in to Xverify and once you are on the dashboard click the "My Account" tab.

2. You will then see a box labeled "My Trusted Domains" please add the domains you wish to use Xverify on, and once this is done make sure you click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

3. Click the "Download Script" button and once you open the script make sure you pull up your HTML page where your form is located and add that script into the<head> section of your HTML document.

4. On your HTML page where you have your form find the fields of your form where you are asking your user for their email address. You must add a special CLASS to this form field element so that Xverify knows it is an email address that needs to be verified. Use class="xverify_email"

5. Make sure you save your changes, and test for functionality. If you would like to verify other fields of data please download the "Developers Documentation" which can be located at the bottom of the Xverify website.



Tips

  • Anytime you make changes in your Xverify account make sure you click the "save" button at the bottom.
  • Most clients prefer to use our CLASS identifier rather than NAME or ID as these identifiers may already be in use for other purposes.

Warnings

  • If you do not add your trusted domain into your Xverify "My Account" tab, it could result in service not available error messages.
