How to Install Android Into an iPhone: 9 Steps

Have you ever wanted to install Android OS into an iPhone? OR even thought of dual booting an iPhone? Now you can!

Steps

1. Make sure that your device is an iPhone 3G, iPhone 2G or iPod 1G. This will not work for newer devices (iPod 2G and up. iPhone 3GS and up). Also make sure that your device is jailbroken with either Redsn0w, Limer1n or Pwnage tool. Other Jailbreak clients will not work at ALL. Also make sure that you have a stable internet connection because you're gonna have to download a large file from the internet.

2. First start by going into Cydia and search for Bootlace from BigBoss. Install Bootlace.

3. After installing bootlace, proceed ahead by going into the App (bootlace it self).

4. After that, you'll see 4 categories bellow. Home, quickboot, OpeniBoot and idroid.

5. First, click on Openiboot and tap on install.

6. Second, go to idroid and tap on install (thats where the stable Internet connection comes in). This may take some time so be patient.

7. After installing all the files, go ahead and tap on quickboot in the app and boot straight away into Android.

8. After booting into Android, to go back into iOS you must off the device. To off the device hold the lock and homebutton for 3 seconds and you'll see a pop up that says airplane, shut down and silent. Tap on shut down.

9. After shutting down, reboot and then you'll see a screen saying OpeniBoot. To boot into anything mentioned you can use the lock button to change the selection and the homebutton to go into the OS.

Tips

  • Also please keep in mind that it will be a little bit laggy in Android because of some driver problems.

Warnings

  • You may end up restoring you device, so please back up before dual booting.
  • Do this at your own risk. Anything that happens to your device has nothing to do with us. Obviously only try this if you are an experienced user.
