How to Reset a Lost iPhone's Memory: 5 Steps
These days, as people get more gadgets, there is a higher chance of losing one of them. Here's how to erase important personal data from a lost iPhone. By doing so, you avoid running the risk of someone else gaining access to personal information on your phone.
Steps
1. From an iPad, search Find My iPhone (Not all of the iPads have them, though.Only iPads model iPad 2 and above have Find My iPhone).
2. Open it, and sign in with the Apple ID you used on your iPhone.
3. Look for your device name and model on the list shown.
4. Tap it. Then it will provide a map showing the phone's current location.
5. Tap 'Erase iPhone' or 'Lost Mode'. These are basically the same thing, as they both prevent data being used by unauthorised people.
Warnings
- This doesn't work if your phone was on airplane mode, or had no connection, or if you didn't sign into your Apple ID.
