How to Print Wirelessly from an iPhone: 5 Steps

Test. Printing documents wirelessly from your iPhone is a simple process, using Apple’s AirPrint technology. You can use AirPrint to print from all Apple applications on your iPhone including Mail, Safari, and iBooks, as well as a number of third-party apps from the App Store that offer the feature.

Steps

1. Open the document, image, e-mail or web page you want to print and tap the Action icon. The Action icon looks like a rectangle with an arrow in it.

2. Tap the Print button from the menu that appears.

3. On the Printer Options screen that appears, tap Select Printer.

4. A list of all available printers now appears. Tap the name of the printer you want to use.

5. Tap the + and - buttons to set the number of copies you want to print and then tap the Print button to print your document.

Tips

  • If you still can’t connect to your printer it may not be AirPrint compatible or requires a software update to enable AirPrint features. Refer to your printer’s documentation for advice on how to do this.
  • If, when you attempt to select your printer, you see the message “No AirPrint Printers Found”, check that your printer is switched on and that it and your iPhone are connected to your wireless network.

Warnings

  • Some AirPrint printers may require the AirPrint feature to be turned on via its settings screen or desktop software. Check your printer’s documentation for
  • further information.
