How to Create Website Registration Forms: 5 Steps

If you're planning a birthday party, seminar, wedding or conference, managing all the attendee registration information can be daunting. Empower your attendees to easily register online and save yourself from the stresses of managing all that data with website registration forms!

Steps

1. Find a reputable online registration provider such as Eventsforce or Eventbrite to help you create the registration pages and manage the data the pages collect.

2. Decide which questions you'll need want to ask your registrants to plan your event, which may include: name, contact info, ability to attend, meal preferences, travel information, credit card details, availability.

3. Determine how you want the questions to appear and how you'd like your guests to answer: check boxes, radio buttons, free-text fields, multiple choice, etc.

4. Determine how many pages of questions you'd like your website to have, and be sure to include: a page about your event, a summary page and confirmation page at the end of the process.

5. Create invitations to invite people to register and ensure they are sent registration confirmations to ensure their attendance.

Tips

  • Make sure you use a reputable, PCI compliant payment gateway if taking payments online.
  • Make your website registration pages creative and attractive, but not too busy.
