How to Utilize Your Virtual CD/DVD and Floppy Drives with Vcloud Director
This video demonstrates how to use your Virtual CD/DVD and Virtual Floppy features in vCloud Director. It also demonstrates how to create a catalog and upload media. This instructional video was originally meant for Infinitely Virtual clients but is educational on this cloud process for anyone interested.
Steps
1. Open Internet Explorer or Firefox and navigate tohttps://vcd01/infinitelyvirtual/cloud/org/account number.
2. Enter your username and password.
3. Check ‘Remember my username and password’ if required.
4. Click ‘Login.’
5. Open the VM console.
6. Click the ‘CD/DVD’ icon.
7. Click ‘Allow’ to proceed.
8. Select the drive from the list or select none to disconnect
9. Click ‘Okay’.
10. Click ‘Okay’.
11. Open the VM console.
12. Click the ‘Floppy’ icon.
13. Click ‘Allow’ to proceed.
14. Select the drive from the list or select none to disconnect.
15. Click ‘Okay.’
16. Click ‘Okay.’
17. Click the ‘Catalogs’ tab.
18. Click the ‘Add catalog’ icon.
19. Give your catalog a name, and click ‘Next.’
20. Click ‘Next.’
21. Click ‘Finish.’
22. Click on ‘Catalogues.’
23. Click on the ‘Media’ tab.
24. Click on the ‘Upload’ icon.
25. Click ‘Browse’ and select the media you wish to upload.
26. Click ‘Upload.’
27. Enter a name in the name field, then select your required catalog and click ‘Upload.’
28. Click on the ‘My Cloud’ tab.
29. Click ‘VMs.’
30. Select your VM.
31. Click ‘Insert Media.’
32. Select the required media and click ‘Insert.’
