How to Tolerate Aggressive Players or Hackers on Halo: 6 Steps
It's really not fair when you play a nice game of Halo, and all of a sudden, you're hacked. There are many forms of hacking on the Xbox 360, and this article will teach you to tolerate it.
Steps
1. First, you must recognize a true hack. If someone is firing away from you down their reticle, and kills you anyway, this is a Wall-Box Hack, although sadly allowed.
2. Keep calm. Don't resort to hacking to get payback. Tell yourself: You are better than they are. A true player does not hack to earn his/her rank or skill.
3. Do not erupt. This may be the reaction they are seeking. If somebody uses a Freeze Hack (you are immobilized until killed), the best option would be to file a complaint and leave the game.
4. When you file a complaint, this launches action against the hacker, who then might be banned. It will also go on their reputation. If you file a false complaint, however, YOU might get banned.
5. If this happens too much, take a break. Go outside and blow some steam.
6. For dealing with aggressive players, try to keep a cool head. Remember your skills, and put them to use. Try to remind them that it's only a game. If this player swears or curses at you, send them a player report. This will affect their reputation.
Tips
- Know that you must never file a false complaint, as you can get banned and it will affect your permanent reputation (check your profile).
- Never swear or turn to insults to make yourself feel better.
- Keep calm.
- To avoid being hacked, never accept a friend request from a stranger. Do not a join a party of someone you have not friended, as this can resolve in you being de-ranked.
Warnings
- Do not trust strangers. View their reputation and profile before you decide to friend them.
- Do not file a false report.
