How to Call Back a Blocked Number: 14 Steps
Method 1 of 2: Calling Blocked Numbers from Landlines
1. Check that your phone company has a call return feature. You may need to sign up for this service or accept charges on your bill.
2. Pick up the receiver. Press Star (*) 69.
3. Wait for the call to go through. If there is an error and the phone company cannot gather data about the caller, you will hear an error message.
4. Ask the person their phone information. Request that telemarketers place you on their “Do Not Call” list.
5. Opt to add Anonymous Call Rejection to your list of phone services. Pick up your receiver and dial Star (*)77. The feature will be activated and all anonymous, private or blocked numbers will be rejected.
6. Call the police to report threats or harassment. In some cases, the police can find out who the callers are follow up to stop phone harassment.
Method 2 of 2: Calling Blocked Numbers on Smart Phones
1. Go to the app store on your iPhone or Google Play store on your Android phone.
2. Search for “TrapCall” using the App Store search bar.
3. Click Install when you find it. The TrapCall app is free on both Apple and Android phones.
4. Tap on the app once it’s installed to agree to terms and start setup.
5. Sign up for a TrapCall subscription. The basic plans include caller ID unmasking. Premium and Ultimate plans include recording incoming calls, voicemail transcriptions and name and address caller ID.

6. Wait for a call from a blocked number. Decline the call by pressing the red decline button or sleep button twice.
7. Wait for the call to be pushed to TrapCall. Within a few seconds, the number will be unmasked and sent back to your phone.
8. Tap the number on your phone if you want to return the call.
